LONGER THAN A CAPTION

Instagram is good for the quick stuff.

A reel.
A swatch.
A half-formed opinion about a pen I probably did not need but absolutely wanted to try anyway.

That is where most of the day-to-day Desktop Nerd mess lives. It is quick, visual, slightly chaotic, and usually happening somewhere between a notebook, an ink bottle, and whatever has taken over the desk that week.

But not everything fits neatly into a caption.

Some thoughts need more room. Some products need more than a thirty second reel. Some ideas need to sit for a bit before they are useful. And sometimes I want to talk about stationery without having to squeeze the whole point into a tiny box under a video.

That is what this Journal is for.

Longer thoughts. Product notes. Ink tests. Notebook opinions. Creative process. Small design updates. The occasional stationery argument.

Nothing too polished. Nothing too precious. Just a place to put the stuff that deserves a little more space than Instagram can comfortably give it.

The website itself is still being built out properly. Over time, this place will hold downloads, discount codes, project notes, product drops, and whatever other stationery adjacent nonsense makes it out of the drawer.

For now, this is the starting point.
